Are you looking for a way to tone up, lose weight, exercise and meet people? We have a place waiting for you. Our aerobics classes have from one to three instructors to help find what works for you! If you have full mobility great, if you don't you can sit in a chair, do what you can and improve your cardio level. We offer a class for 9:30 ~ 10:30 and 10:30 ~ 11:30. This is a coed class and there is no charge. We look forward to seeing you here.

Line Dancing ( 9:00 am - 10:00 am )
Please join us on Tuesdays at 9:00 for Line Dancing with Jean Cain. She teaches a beginners class that starts promptly at 9:00, followed by an intermediate class and an advanced class. The cost is $3 per person regardless of 1 or all 3 classes, the you pay the instructor.  New beginner classes start in January. Jean teaches twice a week, here at the center on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Tennis Center in Southaven. You are encouraged to attend at both locations.

WII Bowling ( 10:00 am - 12:00 - noon )

The center has a WII game system that stays plugged up and ready for use in our library. On Tuesdays at 10:00 join us for WII Bowling.The group is quite competitive but also good sports! Even if you need to learn how, no problem and if you need to practice, again, it is ready for use anytime we are open.

Alzheimers Support Group ( 8:00 am - 9:30 am )

Marilyn Kelly is the facilitator for this support group. They meet the 4th Thursday of every month from 1-2:30. If that day falls on  holiday, please check with the center calendar for an alternative schedule.This group is for caregivers only, so please make arrangements for your loved ones.

 

Ballroom Dancing ( 9:30 am - 10:30 am )

Do you love to dance, do you not feel like you know how? Our Ballroom Dance class is just for people like yourself. Class starts at 9:30-10:30 on Thursday mornings and you do not need a partner to participate. The instructors are fabulous and everyone gets individual attention. This class is free.

Golden Branches ( 11:00 am - 12:30 - pm )

The Golden Branches is the name of the "first/original" organized seniors group in Olive Branch. They began holding meetings in a church, then moved to the "Park Office" and now the Senior Center. They meet every Thursday at 11:00. The first Thursday is their business meeting, the next week they celebrate birthdays and anniversaries and play bingo for small prizes. The third Thursday they try to have a speaker or some organized event and the 4th Thursday they have pot luck lunch. The group does have membership dues, but anyone can join.

Movie Day ( 11:30 am - 1:30 pm )
Join us on the last Friday of the month for Movie Day. This is just a random pick, we have seen The Help, The Blind Side, and House Guest. The movie starts at 11:30, some time we have snacks, some bring their own snacks, Please check with the center for the movie title and snack options.  There is no charge. May's movie is War Horse.
