Free Smoke Detector Program

The Mississippi Fire Marshal’s Office Smoke Alarm Installation Program is a fire safety project in partnership with the Olive Branch Fire Department.  The goal is to reduce the chance of a fire fatality in your home by providing free smoke alarms to low-income families, senior citizens, families with children under the age of 14, and individuals with disabilities.  You must own your home to qualify.

To apply for free smoke alarms, fill out the application and mail it to the address at the bottom of the page.  You may also call the phone number at the bottom of the page to request your smoke alarm installation.  Once your application is received, a firefighter will call you to make an appointment to install the smoke alarms in your home.
